The immortal lyrics of the immortal romance best summarize the film. Set in the backdrop of the Second World War in North Africa, a man gets a chance to reunite with his one-time lover (who happened to be married at the time of the affair and later dumped him). In his way, is her husband, a passionate leader of the Resistance. In his favour though, is a pair of letters of transit, that can take two people out of Casablanca. The only question remains: Which two?

Along with that, throw in a Nazi Major, intent on finding the papers, a French official who is known for time and again ordering his men to 'Round up the usual suspects.' Despite all this, the film has a happy ending, with the man and the cop beginning a beautiful friendship.

The film also possesses many classic lines of dialogue, six lines of which have been adjudged among the top 100 Movie Quotes of all time, as well as the second best film song (As Time Goes By). A classic film that must be seen by one and all.
